How I can help you.
We can take many paths in our life, some of which may leave us feeling stuck or uncertain, sometimes without knowing how we arrived at this place.
Talking and sharing can be extremely powerful. Knowing that someone is listening is where counselling can help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself, your relationships and your life experiences, whether they are from the past or present. Together we can explore how you are feeling, patterns of unhelpful thinking and behaviour to help you recognise ways to move forward and live your life in the way you choose.
Counselling can help with many of life’s difficulties. My training as an integrative therapist means I can use a range of theoretical approaches in our work together and offer the best support to meet your needs. I include Person Centred Therapy, Transactional Analysis, cognitive behavioural therapy and psychodynamic approaches. This enables me to work with deeper-seated issues to difficulties that have developed more recently.
Sometimes there doesn’t always need to be a reason for counselling, but something just doesn’t feel right and we might not know why that is.
My aim is to support and help you make sense of whatever brings you to counselling.
Your first session.
Should you wish to understand a little more about how I work, I offer a free 30-minute consultation for us to meet and hear what has brought you to counselling.
I will ask a few questions and try to answer any you might have. It gives us an opportunity to decide whether counselling with me fits your needs and we are right for each other.
There is no obligation for you to continue and I will try to refer you on to something, which might work better for you.
I offer both long term and short-term therapy sessions.

When I look at a sunset, I don’t find myself saying, “Soften the orange a bit on the right hand corner”… I don’t try to control a sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds.
